Who is responsible for your data

A sole trader’s name and address, and the fact that they owe money, are personal data. Where you are chasing a sole trader, you are the controller of that information and we process it for you. The lawful basis is your legitimate interest in recovering a debt you are owed.
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA/EU) — hosting.
- Supabase (EU) — the database and the private file store.
- Sendinblue SAS, 9-17 rue Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France (trading as Brevo) — sends your case link and your deadline reminders. Only to you.
- OpenRouter, Inc. (USA) — only if you ask us to tidy your description of the work into a sentence for the claim form. Nothing else about the case is sent: not your debtor’s name, not their address, not the amount. Every request asks OpenRouter to use only providers that do not retain the data.
- PostHog EU cloud (Germany) — counts of how the tool is used. No cookies, no profile, and amounts only ever as a band, never the figure.
Where data is transferred outside the UK or the EEA, the basis is the standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
A case is kept for 180 days and then erased, and you can delete it yourself at any moment from the link in your email — that is immediate and cannot be undone. Your IP address is never stored; where we need to count abuse we store a one-way hash of it. Logs hold identifiers and counts, not names or addresses.
If your debtor asks us for their data, we will pass the request to you within three working days, because you are the controller of it.
